Hard water stain removal
Those cloudy white spots along the bottom of your windows aren't dirt — they're minerals left behind by sprinklers and rain. Wiping them just smears them. They need the right treatment.
Minerals, not grime
Water carries dissolved calcium and magnesium. When it evaporates off hot glass, it leaves those minerals behind as a thin film. A standard clean removes the layer on top and leaves the film intact — which is why a window can be professionally washed and still look cloudy.
Left long enough, the minerals bond to the glass itself and the surface starts to etch. Treated early it comes off cleanly. Treated years later it's a much longer job — so the honest advice is to deal with it sooner rather than later.
Identified before we start
We check whether the marking is a removable deposit or true etching, and tell you which before quoting.
Treated chemically, never scraped
The right compound for the deposit, given time to break it down — not a blade dragged across your glass.
No scratches, no swirl marks
Glass-safe pads and controlled pressure. The one thing worse than a stain is a permanent scratch.
Straight answer on results
If a pane is genuinely etched beyond recovery, we say so rather than charging you for a partial fix.

Sprinkle overspray is the most common cause — and it's easy to miss until the glass dries.
Slower than a normal clean — deliberately
Stain removal takes time and patience. Rushing it is how glass gets damaged, so we price it as the separate job it is.
Assess the pane
We test a small area to confirm the deposit lifts and identify what's causing it.
Treat and dwell
The compound is applied and left to work through the mineral layer before anything touches the glass.
Remove and finish
Deposits lifted off with glass-safe tools, then the pane is cleaned and inspected in daylight.
Priced separately from a standard clean, quoted up front.
Often combined with a full window clean in the same visit.
